At last!

Today I worked at the shop painting the trim and front door. I LOVE the color!! Orange. It makes the building pop! Your eyes cannot help but be drawn to the building. I am not sure how many people drove in today, looked at me painting and then turned around. It did make me wonder if I was scaring them away.
While I was up there, I received a phone call from Bob Haxton. Bob is with the Inspections and Appeals Department of Iowa. The good news is I finally will receive my food processing license. From what I understand, I can sell milk products, frozen meats, wash and cut vegetables/fruit, and dehydrate and freeze vegetables. However, if I want to can vegetables, I will have to go through some training and there are possibly some other requirements. For now, I am just happy that we are able to begin selling milk and stuff.
If you have never tasted Hansen's milk, you really need to come in and sample it. For all of those who grew up on a farm and remember drinking milk from the bulk tank, this is the good stuff. Every jug must be shook in order to blend the cream in with the milk. They also have some pretty good cheese curds, which we have every week.
